Pitt Perfection! HBO's 'The Pitt' Sweeps 2025 TCA Awards!
HBO Max's freshman drama, 'The Pitt,' has taken the television world by storm! The show dominated the 41st Annual Television Critics Association (TCA) Awards, snagging a whopping four awards, including the prestigious Program of the Year.
'The Pitt' Reigns Supreme at TCA Awards
The TCA, comprised of over 230 journalists, critics, and editors, recognized 'The Pitt' for its outstanding achievements during the 2024-2025 television season. The series also secured awards for Outstanding Achievement in Drama, Outstanding New Program, and Individual Achievement in Drama for its star, Noah Wyle.
Wyle, in his pre-taped acceptance speech, expressed his gratitude, stating, "It is an honor to be nominated... and it is incredibly gratifying to win." He acknowledged the TCA members, many of whom he has known for years, thanking them for their support and positive reviews of his shows, particularly 'The Pitt.'
Other Notable TCA Award Winners
While 'The Pitt' was the night's big winner, other shows also received recognition. Kathy Bates (Matlock) was honored with the Career Achievement Award, while Bridget Everett (Somebody Somewhere) received the Individual Achievement in Comedy award. Peacock's 'The Traitors' continued its winning streak, securing its second consecutive Outstanding Achievement in Reality award. Apple TV+'s 'The Studio' won the TCA Award for Outstanding Comedy. 'Adolescence' took the award for best limited series or TV movie, and 'Sesame Street' received the Heritage Award.
TCA president Andy Dehnart commented on the winners, stating, "Each of these TCA Award winners not only entertained us, but also immersed us in the lives of characters, both fictional and real-life. We’re thrilled to honor them.”
