Arlington, Texas is now home to a lasting tribute to baseball legend Adrian Beltré! The Texas Rangers unveiled a life-sized bronze statue of the Hall of Fame third baseman on Friday, August 22, 2025, adding to his already impressive legacy that includes his Hall of Fame bust in Cooperstown.

The statue captures Beltré in his signature pose, hitting a home run with his knee characteristically on the ground. It stands proudly outside Globe Life Field, joining statues of fellow Hall of Famers Nolan Ryan and Iván “Pudge” Rodríguez.

Beltré, who played the final eight of his 21 MLB seasons with the Rangers, retired after the 2018 season. His No. 29 jersey was retired by the team the following year, and he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame last summer.

The statue's location is particularly meaningful. It appears as if Beltré is gazing towards the old ballpark across the street, the very place where he achieved several milestones, including becoming the first player from the Dominican Republic to reach 3,000 career hits on July 30, 2017. He also hit his 400th homer there and recorded all three of his MLB record-tying three career cycles.

The dedication ceremony took place before a game against the Cleveland Guardians. On Saturday, the Rangers presented Beltré with a smaller version of the statue. Sculptor Mike Tabor threw out the ceremonial first pitch, and the first 20,000 fans received replica versions of the statue.

According to NBC 5, the statue, sculpted by Granbury artist Mike Tabor, depicts Beltre at the plate with his glove under his arm and his unmistakable smile preserved for generations. Beltre expressed his admiration for Tabor's work, emphasizing the importance of capturing his likeness accurately. He involved his family, particularly his children, in the process, and they were all pleased with the result. Beltre himself remains in awe of the honor, reflecting on his humble beginnings in the Dominican Republic and the unexpected journey that led to this remarkable recognition.
