Trent Grisham continued his hot streak, hitting a grand slam in the fourth inning off Yoendrys Gómez. This was Grisham's third consecutive game with a home run and his fourth career grand slam. Anthony Volpe also contributed with a two-run homer in the seventh, along with an RBI single in the sixth, driving in a total of three runs. Austin Wells and Ben Rice added RBI singles, while Jazz Chisholm Jr. walked twice and scored two runs.

Rodón Dominates in Return to Chicago

Carlos Rodón (15-7) delivered a solid performance on the mound, pitching six effective innings and allowing only one run on seven hits. This was Rodón's first start at Rate Field since leaving the White Sox as a free agent after the 2021 season. He earned his fourth consecutive win.

Despite out-hitting the Yankees 12-7, the White Sox struggled to capitalize on their opportunities, leaving 11 runners on base. Chase Meidroth had two hits, including an RBI single, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Yankees' offensive firepower. The White Sox have now lost their fourth straight game.

Yankees Climb in AL East Standings

With the win, the Yankees (75-60) moved into second place in the AL East, a half-game ahead of Boston and three games behind Toronto. The Red Sox lost to Pittsburgh, and the Blue Jays lost to Milwaukee, further solidifying the Yankees' position in the division race.
