"El Potrillo," as he's known, spoke with the Univision program "El gordo y la flaca" about the debilitating symptoms that kept him off the stage for a few days.

"Several things came together," Fernández confessed. "I have a condition in my eyes. I get an allergy that, if I don't treat it in time, turns into an infection. I went to the ophthalmologist, who prescribed a very strong medication for my stomach. I had this salmonellosis bacteria encapsulated, I didn't realize it, and when it expanded, it tore my stomach apart."

The 54-year-old singer endured a difficult period. "I couldn't walk, I couldn't eat, I couldn't even drink water," he revealed. Lili Estefan, the host of "El gordo y la flaca," added, "I was worried about him last week, I called him and everything, but he's already recovered."

Fortunately, Fernández has bounced back and was recently seen performing in Las Vegas alongside his daughter, Camila Fernández. His mother, Doña Cuquita, was also present to support him.
