Las Vegas Valley is experiencing an active weather day as storm systems move through the area. Channel 13 is tracking weather alerts, power outages, flight delays, and more as severe weather impacts the region. Stay informed and take necessary precautions.
Flash Flood Warnings and Advisories
The National Weather Service has issued several warnings and advisories:
- Flash Flood Warning for Red Rock Canyon and Blue Diamond until 9 p.m.
- Flash Flood Warning for southwest Clark County until 8:45 p.m.
- Flash Flood Warning for central Clark County until 7:45 p.m.
- Flash Flood Warning for Sandy Valley until 7:45 p.m.
- Flood Advisory for central Clark County until 7:45 p.m.
- Flood Advisory for western Clark County until 6:45 p.m.
- Flood Watch for Spring Mountains and Red Rock Canyon until 11 p.m. Saturday
- Flood Watch for Lincoln County until 11 p.m. Saturday
Power Outages and Flight Delays
As of 6:30 p.m., NV Energy reports approximately 1,500 customers without power in Clark County. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued:
- Ground Stop until 6:45 p.m.
- Ground Delays averaging 84 minutes
- Departure Delays averaging 75 minutes (and increasing)
Road Closures and Water Rescues
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada reports:
- A water rescue is underway at Paradise Road and Harmon Avenue.
- Flooding on the roads around Cambridge Street between Flamingo Road and Katie Avenue. Use caution, avoid area if you can.
- Flooding on the roads around Lake Mead Parkway and Boulder Highway. Use caution, avoid area if you can.
