Who is Eligible for FEMA Assistance?

The aid applies to damage sustained during the storms on April 29th and May 16th. Specifically, assistance is available for:

  • April 29th Storms: Barry, Greene, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, and Washington Counties.
  • May 16th Tornadoes: The City of St. Louis, and St. Louis and Scott counties.

How Much Aid is Available?

Governor Mike Kehoe's request for the April 29th storms included over $16.5 million. The request related to the May 16th tornadoes included more than $57.9 million in Public Assistance qualifying expenses and at least $18.7 million in qualifying Individual Assistance needs.

FEMA will pay a maximum of $43,600 for housing assistance and $43,600 for other needs to each individual affected.
