Get ready, Queens! The Citizens Queens 10K is back this Saturday, June 14th, at Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Expect over 11,000 runners to participate in this iconic race, part of the New York Road Runners’ (NYRR) Five-Borough Series. This marks the 12th annual event, promising a day of fitness, fun, and community spirit.
What to Expect at the Queens 10K
The 6.2-mile course offers stunning views of landmarks like the Unisphere, Citi Field, and the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The race kicks off near the Fountain of the Planets, setting the stage for an exciting run through the heart of Queens.
A Day for the Whole Family
But the Queens 10K isn't just for adults! The Flushing Meadows Kids Run will also take place, featuring free dashes and races for about 1,000 children aged 2 to 18. This youth event is part of NYRR’s Rising New York Road Runners initiative, which supports over 200,000 students nationwide, with half located right here in New York City.
Post-Race Festival: Food, Music, and Fun!
Citizens is sponsoring the race for the second year and will be hosting a fantastic post-race festival from 8 a.m. to noon. Enjoy live music on the Citizens Stage, participate in family-friendly activities, and indulge in complimentary refreshments from popular Queens Night Market vendors.
Taste of Queens
The festival will feature local culinary delights including brownies from DiLena’s Dolcini, ube piaya from Chick’n Rotonda, and other favorites from across the borough. Don't miss out on the raffle prizes, including a signed Eli Manning jersey, New York Giants tickets, and even an entry to the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon!
Special Guest: N.O.R.E.
Adding even more excitement, Queens native and hip-hop icon N.O.R.E. will be participating in the Queens 10K for the first time alongside 18 members of his crew. Come out and cheer on your favorite runners and enjoy a day of community celebration!
