While the Edmonton Oilers are fiercely competing for the Stanley Cup, their wives and girlfriends (WAGs) are celebrating a special occasion in a sunny paradise. The partners of several Oilers players are currently partying in Greece, sparking both excitement and curiosity among fans.
Bachelorette Bliss Far From the Ice
The reason for this European getaway? A bachelorette party for Celeste Desjardins, the fiancée of Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl. The ladies, including Lauren McDavid (wife of Connor McDavid) and Mikayla Nurse (wife of Darnell Nurse), are documenting their adventures on social media, sharing snippets of their journey and sun-soaked destination.
Even though thousands of miles away, they didn't miss the thrilling Game 1 overtime win. They watched the game mid-flight and cheered on their partners from afar. Adding to the celebration, Draisaitl himself scored the winning goal, giving the bride-to-be an extra reason to celebrate.
Timing is Everything (or is it?)
Lauren McDavid acknowledged the somewhat unconventional timing of the trip. She posted on Instagram Stories: "PSA – when the bachelorette falls on less than ideal timing but we will be back for the good stuff!! Go Oilers!!!"
