Reduced Deposits for New Bookings
Effective immediately, the required deposit for Disney Cruise Line reservations has been reduced from 20% to just 10% of the voyage fare for new bookings. This change applies to sailings booked on or after June 18, 2025. For existing reservations made before this date, the original 20% deposit remains in effect.
Key Details on the Deposit Update:
- Cancellation Fees: Cancellation fees will align with the new deposit policy for sailings on or after June 18, 2025. If a reservation with a 10% deposit is canceled within the deposit cancellation fee period, the cancellation fee will also be 10% of the voyage fare. For those with a 20% deposit, the cancellation fee remains at 20%.
- Concierge Guests: Deposits for Concierge Guests remain non-refundable, as per the existing policy.
- Flexibility: Guests outside the cancellation fee period can cancel and rebook under the new 10% deposit policy if desired.
Onboard Placeholder Offers
Guests with Placeholder Reservations will also benefit from a change. When adding a sail date of 7 nights or longer, the required deposit is now just 5%. This also means a 5% cancellation fee if canceled outside the deposit cancellation period.
Another exciting change: the three-day hold when converting Onboard Placeholder Offers through the Contact Center or online has been eliminated. Deposits are now due at the time of placeholder conversion, making the process even smoother.
