The Paris 2024 Olympics may be in the rearview mirror, but the memories and innovations continue to resonate. This article delves into two key aspects of the Games: the cutting-edge technology that powered the stadium experience and the personal reflections of athletes who competed on the world stage.

RWS Global's Impact on the Fan Experience

RWS Global, a production and entertainment powerhouse, played a pivotal role in shaping the in-venue atmosphere at the Paris Olympics. Building on their experience from the Sydney 2000 Games onwards, RWS Global deployed over 450 staff members across 37 venues to produce 54 sports. At the recent SVG Venues & Teams Summit, Kim Henshaw, EVP of Business Operations, and Matthew Byles, VP of Sports Technology, shared insights into the planning and execution of the in-venue experience, highlighting the technologies that made it all possible. Their presentation offered a behind-the-scenes look at how RWS Global created an unforgettable atmosphere for both athletes and spectators.

Henshaw's extensive background, dating back to the 1994 Commonwealth Games, has been instrumental in the growth of RWS Global's sports division. Byles, on the other hand, leads the technical and innovation team, driving the integration of digital technologies to enhance the overall event experience.

Avery Skinner Reflects on Paris 2024 and Sisterly Bond in Volleyball

Avery Skinner, a volleyball outside hitter and Olympic silver medalist from Paris 2024, recently shared her memories of the Games and her unique experience of playing alongside her sister, Madisen. Skinner, who is also preparing for the 2025 Volleyball Nations League (VNL), discussed the special bond she shares with her sister on the court.

"When we're on the court, I don't feel any different than any other teammate," Skinner told Olympics.com. "Obviously, you have that little sister telekinesis, we probably know what each other's thinking... But it is nice to have that more familiar person. Whenever it's in competition, we're both locked in."

The Power of Painting and Shared Experiences

Skinner also revealed how watercolour painting helps her relax and unwind. While she supports her sister's club volleyball career in Texas, Avery continues to excel in Italy, showcasing the dedication and passion that define Olympic athletes. The Paris 2024 Olympics provided unforgettable moments, both on and off the court, and the experiences continue to shape the journeys of these remarkable athletes.
