Country music star Chris Janson recently shared some unsettling photos on social media. His son, Jesse Bo, suffered a painful fishing accident while the family was enjoying a day on the water. According to Janson, it was a “freak accident” involving a catfish. The incident left Jesse with multiple punctures from the fish’s sharp spines.

Janson posted the photos on Instagram, explaining that Jesse “got triple stuck with the last fish he caught.” Catfish are known for their sharp, rigid spines near their fins, which can easily pierce the skin if not handled with care. WebMD advises that proper treatment involves removing the spines with tweezers, washing the wound with hot water, applying external antibiotics if infection is present, and taking pain relievers.

Fans were quick to offer their support and share their own experiences. One fan commented, “It’s one of the worst pains you’ll ever deal with.” Janson reassured everyone that Jesse is doing okay and is now on antibiotics. “He’s caught and handled more fish than I can count,” Janson said. “He’s on antibiotics now, and most of the stinging has stopped. It’s the worst feeling to witness your boy hurting.”

The fishing trip came just before a busy month for Janson, who is preparing for upcoming tour stops and the release of his new album, “Wild Horses,” on August 1st. He recently released a new love ballad called “The Bride.” Chris and his wife, Kelly, celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on July 4th. Jesse Bo, 11, is the youngest of their two children and has occasionally joined his father on stage.

Despite the unfortunate incident, the Janson family appears to be in good spirits. We wish Jesse a speedy recovery!
