"He [Arshdeep] sustained an impact injury to his left thumb while bowling in the nets at a training session in Beckenham," the BCCI stated, adding that their medical team is closely monitoring his progress.

To fill the void, India has added uncapped all-rounder Anshul Kamboj to their squad for the fourth Test at Old Trafford, commencing this Wednesday. This marks a significant opportunity for Kamboj to make his mark on the international stage.

Reddy's performance in the series was limited, with minimal impact in India's victory at Edgbaston and a modest contribution in their defeat at Lord's.
