Fanning Sisters Unite! 'The Nightingale' Release Date Finally Set!
Get ready for a cinematic sister act! Dakota and Elle Fanning are finally teaming up on screen in 'The Nightingale,' the highly anticipated adaptation of Kristin Hannah's bestselling novel. After years of anticipation, TriStar Pictures has announced a release date: February 12, 2027.
A Long-Awaited Collaboration

"For years, we have looked for a film to do with one another and then this gem appeared," the Fannings previously said about the project, highlighting their excitement for this unique opportunity.
Behind the Scenes
Michael Morris (known for 'To Leslie') is directing the film. The script is penned by Dana Stevens ('The Woman King'). Elizabeth Cantillon produces for The Cantillon Company, alongside the Fannings and Brittany Kahan Ward for Lewellen Pictures, and Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine. Nicole Brown and Shary Shirazi are overseeing for TriStar Pictures.
What to Expect
'The Nightingale' promises a powerful and emotional story of sisterhood, resilience, and survival against the backdrop of World War II. With the Fanning sisters leading the charge, expect compelling performances and a captivating cinematic experience. Mark your calendars for February 12, 2027!
The Fanning Sister Bond
Dakota has also spoken about her close relationship with Elle and how they are not competitive, despite working in the same industry since they were young. She mentions they have a playful relationship and different personalities, which helps them navigate their careers. This strong bond will surely translate onto the screen, adding depth and authenticity to their portrayal of sisters in 'The Nightingale'.
