Sacramento Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Incident
Sacramento, CA – A tragic hit-and-run incident in Sacramento has claimed the life of a 43-year-old woman. Ekaterina Yuryevna Putivtseva of Sacramento was killed early Saturday morning at the intersection of Watt Avenue and Auburn Boulevard.
According to Officer Justin Fetterly, spokesman for CHP North Sacramento, the incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. A vehicle traveling south on Watt Avenue struck Putivtseva as she was walking west in the crosswalk on Auburn Boulevard.
The driver fled the scene immediately after the collision. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is currently investigating the hit-and-run and has yet to identify the vehicle involved. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Sacramento County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Putivtseva was pronounced dead at approximately 12:40 a.m.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the hit-and-run to contact the CHP North Sacramento office. The investigation is ongoing.
