Sudden Exit Shakes Up Midday Show

Beasley Media Group, the station's owner, confirmed Missanelli's exit. "Friday was Mike’s last day at the station,” said Heidi Raphael, Beasley Media Group’s chief communications officer. “We are grateful for his contributions to the station and our listeners, and we wish him all the best.”

Missanelli had been hosting the midday show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., often alongside Ray Dunne and, until recently, Bill Colarulo. Ray Dunne will take over as interim host, with a rotating cast of contributors filling the slot. Colarulo had already moved to afternoons to co-host "Unfiltered with Ricky Bo and Bill Colarulo" with NBC Sports Philadelphia's Ricky Bottalico.

Deja Vu? Another Abrupt Departure

This isn't the first time Missanelli has left The Fanatic under less-than-ideal circumstances. He previously departed in May 2022 after 15 years with the station. That exit, which Missanelli described as "surreal," came amid reports of friction with station management.

"The way I look at it now is, ... I had a two-year, three-month vacation. So I’m ready to return,” Missanelli said upon his return last year.
