Shakhtar Donetsk have bolstered their squad with the signing of 19-year-old Brazilian midfielder Lucas Ferreira. The highly-rated youngster arrives from São Paulo, adding youthful exuberance and technical skill to the Ukrainian side.

Ferreira's contract with Shakhtar will run until June 30, 2030, signalling the club's long-term commitment to the player. He began his career at América-MG, before spells at Flamengo and Boavista. He joined São Paulo in 2021, signing his first professional contract in March 2023.
