The Financial Mail (FM) has officially launched entries for the highly anticipated 2025 FM AdFocus Awards, a prestigious annual event recognising excellence in South Africa's marketing and communications industry. This year's awards celebrate agencies and individuals who have mastered both the art and the business of creativity, making it a must-attend event for industry leaders.

Creative Capital: Building Agency Value in a Complex World

The theme for the 2025 awards is "Creative Capital: Building Agency Value in a Complex World." This theme underscores the evolving role of agencies, highlighting their transformation from purely creative entities to strategic businesses that drive value through impactful creativity.

Vicki Buys, MD of Ogilvy and chairperson of the 2025 FM AdFocus Awards, emphasises the importance of leveraging 'creative capital' in today's complex environment. According to Buys, agencies must use their creative resources to foster growth for their clients and, subsequently, for themselves.

What the Awards Will Celebrate

The awards will specifically recognise agencies that have successfully built their own agency value, encompassing financial performance, talent, culture, and innovation. Furthermore, the awards will acknowledge agencies that have delivered tangible business results for their clients through strategic and impactful creative solutions.

The jury for the FM AdFocus Awards comprises industry leaders from both agencies and client-side organisations, ensuring a balanced and insightful evaluation process. Katherine Madley, executive: Marketing, Brand and Digital at Pick n Pay, will be among the returning jurors, bringing valuable experience to the panel.

Entries for the 2025 FM AdFocus Awards close on August 15th. Don't miss the opportunity to showcase your agency's creative and business prowess!
