ECG Announces Planned Maintenance: Power Outages Coming October 1st, 2025
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced planned maintenance works that will lead to temporary power outages in several regions on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025. The affected regions include Greater Accra, Tema, Volta, and Central.
ECG stated that this maintenance is part of their ongoing efforts to improve service delivery and ensure a more reliable power supply for their customers. They have apologized for any inconvenience the planned outages may cause.
Tema Region Power Outage (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Residents and businesses in the Tema Region should prepare for outages between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The following areas will be affected:
- Roman
- Underbridge Market
- State School for the Deaf
- Kanewu
- BBF
- GCB Training School
- Kokobribri
- Buade
- Royal Ravico
- Alton Hotel
- Junction Mall
- Community 25
- High Tension
- Sackey
- Bediako
- Golf City Police Station
- Ghana Flag
- Bulasu
- Afienya Zongo and surrounding areas
Greater Accra Region Power Outage (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
In the Greater Accra Region, the maintenance is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, impacting the following communities:
- Odorkor
- Darkuman
- Darkuman Zongo
- Shalom Estate
- Pantang Village
- Mr. Smith
- Abokobi
- Ashongman Village
- Abloradjei Town and their environs
Volta Region Power Outage (9:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
The Volta Region will experience outages from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Affected areas include:
- Kadjebi
- Asato
- Wawaso
- Okanta
- Dzindzoso
- Kodibenum
- Titiaka
- Mempeasem and surrounding communities
Central Region Power Outage (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
The Central Region will also face outages from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The areas affected are:
- Yamoransa
- Sammy Otoo SHS
- Kobinah Ansah and its environs
A separate exercise will cover the entire Assin-Fosu township and its surrounding communities including Juaben, Assin South District Assembly, Manso, Ochiso, Dompim, Assin Breku District Assembly, Kushea and Senchem.
ECG encourages customers in the affected areas to take note of the planned outages and plan accordingly. They have offered their apologies for any inconvenience caused.
