According to DVLA, de decision come after weeks of intensified enforcement wey de Compliance Team dey do to make sure say all drivers and vehicles meet Ghana ein road safety and regulatory standards. Plenty drivers and Ghanaians bin dey complain about some of de fines, so DVLA decide to take action.
De Authority explain say de suspension dey allow dem to do broader stakeholder consultations and public education. Dem want hear from motorists and de general public before dem continue with de enforcement.
Make you no forget say, according to de statement wey DVLA release on October 14, de suspension only dey apply to de enforcement of fees and charges by de Compliance Team. E no mean say drivers and vehicle owners no get legal obligations.
“De suspension dey relate specifically to de fees and charges wey de Compliance Team dey enforce,” de statement explain. “E no dey suspend de legal requirements for drivers and vehicles to operate for Ghana ein roads.”
