Eiii! Sad news dey come from Kumasi. The China City Mall wey dey near Santasi roundabout catch fire on Thursday afternoon. Eye witnesses dey talk say the fire start around 4 pm wey e stop all the business activities for the mall inside.
According to reports, property worth millions of Ghana cedis burn finish. The mall, wey dem just open recently, now dey look like something else. Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) people rush go the scene quick quick after dem hear the news.
Thank God say nobody get hurt for the fire, but plenty items inside the mall spoil finish. The Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), Richard Ofori Agyeman, go the place go see for himself. E say e dey sad for the whole situation.
Ashanti Regional Fire Commander, ACFO Peter Tetteh, explain say when dem reach the scene, the fire be too much already because plenty things wey dey burn easy dey inside the mall, even the things dem use build the building itself. E add say dem dey investigate to find out wetin cause the fire.
