Kenya dey ready to host di first ever U-21 Taekwondo World Championships! Di competition go happen for Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani Gymnasium for Nairobi from December 3 to 6.
Di Kenya Taekwondo Federation, through di Local Organizing Committee (LOC), dey work together with di Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs to make sure everything dey correct. Dem dey expect over 80 countries to send dem athletes come compete.
Kenya Taekwondo Federation President Suleiman Sumba talk say e dey important for Kenya to host dis event. E say e go raise di awareness and economic status of di country. World Taekwondo officials don already check di facilities and dem talk say e be world-class and e dey follow all di global standards.
Di national team go get 16 members - eight men and eight women. Taekwondo Head Coach Samuel Kinyanjui dey sure say dem go win. E say di team win 11 gold medals, two silver, and two bronze for di South Korea Ambassador Cup for Uganda recently. Dis one give dem positive mindset.
"We dey very prepared because we don dey train for two weeks before we go Uganda. We dey continue training, where we go go Ivory Coast to compete with high-profile athletes," Kinyanjui talk.
