Former traditional priestess, now evangelist, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, wey dem popularly know as Nana Agradaa, don file appeal wey she dey challenge her 15-year jail sentence for fraud. De appeal, wey dem file for Amasaman High Court today, dey seek say dem for reverse de decision wey Accra Circuit Court make.

According to her lawyer, Richard Asare Baffour, de trial court judge no give Agradaa fair trial, so de trial no correct for law. He dey argue say de judge show bias against Agradaa, and say de sentence too harsh and excessive.

Agradaa get sentence to 15 years imprisonment each for two counts of defrauding by false pretence. De court talk say Agradaa for serve de two sentences concurrent. Dem fine her GH¢300 for charlatanic advertisement too.

De conviction and sentence stem from televised broadcast for 2022. Agradaa tell public say she dey willing to share GH¢300,000 to needy people during church service, but she end up taking money from people without giving dem anything.
