Alix Earle's DWTS Journey: Tears, TikTok, and Tough Quicksteps!
TikTok sensation Alix Earle is pushing her limits on 'Dancing With the Stars' Season 34! Partnered with the seasoned pro Val Chmerkovskiy, Alix is navigating the challenges of ballroom dancing, and it's not always smooth sailing. In a recent interview, Alix admitted to shedding tears during rehearsals, revealing the frustration of stepping outside her comfort zone.
The TikTok Queen Takes on the Quickstep
Alix described the difficulty of mastering dance moves that seem effortless for Val. "It's just frustrating when Val does something and it looks so easy and so simple and I'm like, 'Great, I can do that,'" she explained. "And then I try it and I'm like, 'I look like a scarecrow right now.'"
The pressure is on, especially with themed nights like "TikTok Night," where Alix aims to blend her signature social media style with Val's expertise. The beginning of their routine will have a nod to TikTok, but the quickstep? That's all Val.
Competition and Self-Improvement
Alix sees her biggest competition as herself. "Trying to beat myself and one-up myself every week is what I'm focused on," she stated. While acknowledging the talent of her fellow contestants, she's determined to work overtime to keep up.
Val, a self-proclaimed "late bloomer" on TikTok, is also adapting to the changing landscape of social media. He's embracing the platform, even if it means trying not to be a "cringe millennial."
