Severe Thunderstorm Warning
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Oakland County until 1:15 PM, and for Washtenaw and Wayne Counties until 1:30 PM. The primary threats include damaging winds, large hail, and the potential for flooding rain. While the tornado threat is slight, it's crucial to remain vigilant.
Air Quality Alert
An air quality alert is in effect for all of Metro Detroit from Sunday through noon on Monday due to wildfire smoke. This can cause respiratory issues, especially for sensitive groups. Limit outdoor activities and keep windows closed.

Today, expect hot and humid conditions with highs near 90°F. The risk of severe storms will increase after 2 PM as a cold front approaches. Saturday will bring similar conditions, with afternoon storms possible, some of which could be severe. Winds will be SSW at 5-15 mph.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy with lows in the upper 60s to near 70°F. Winds will be SW at 5-10 mph.
Sunday will be less hot, with highs in the mid-80s and a slight chance of rain and storms. Winds will be W at 5-10 mph.
Looking ahead, expect summer heat and storms to return by midweek. The upper 80s are expected to persist through much of next week.
