Fall is officially here in Massachusetts, and that means a whole host of exciting activities to enjoy! From spooky Halloween events to relaxing fall foliage cruises, there's something for everyone this weekend. MassLive has curated a fantastic list of weekend picks, and we're highlighting some of the best:

Phantoms by Firelight at Old Sturbridge Village

Get your spook on at Old Sturbridge Village with Phantoms by Firelight! Experience thrilling fire dancers, acrobats, and a truly haunting atmosphere steeped in local history. The event runs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through October 26th, from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Don't miss the grand finale of Cyrkus Vampyr!

A Day Trip to Red Apple Farm

Looking for a classic fall experience? Head to Red Apple Farm in Phillipston! This spot offers a delightful day trip. Enjoy the Brew Barn, which doubles as a taproom for Moon Hill Brewing, serving up delicious barbecue. Relax outside, soak in the farm atmosphere, and visit the animals.

Don't forget to check out the country store for local goods, farm products, ice cream, and, of course, cider doughnuts! You can also pick your own apples in the orchard and visit Red Apple Farm’s cidery. The farm is open Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Fall Foliage Cruise

For a more relaxed weekend activity, consider a fall foliage cruise. Take in the stunning views of the changing leaves while enjoying a relaxing boat ride. These cruises offer a fantastic way to appreciate the beauty of autumn in Massachusetts.

So, get out there and enjoy all that Massachusetts has to offer this fall weekend!
