Jett Lawrence Dominates RedBud After First-Lap Crash!

In a stunning display of skill and determination, Jett Lawrence overcame a disastrous start at the RedBud Nationals in Buchanan, Michigan, to sweep both motos and secure the overall win. Lawrence, plagued by a poor start and a first-lap crash that relegated him to 18th position, fought his way through the pack in a breathtaking performance.

Despite conceding significant ground in the early stages, Lawrence's speed and tenacity proved unmatched. He ultimately beat his rivals by a comfortable margin of over eight seconds, showcasing his dominance on the RedBud track. Hunter Lawrence also battled back from a slow start to claim the final spot on the podium, making it a Lawrence brothers celebration.

Chase Sexton made his return to racing, finishing fourth in Moto 2, while Jorge Prado rounded out the top five. The race began with a fierce battle between Prado and Coty Schock for the lead, with Schock initially seizing the top spot. However, Lawrence's relentless charge soon became the story of the day.

Adding to the drama, Aaron Plessinger was sidelined for the second race due to illness and fever. Tony Cairoli, after a strong showing in Moto 1, was forced to retire his Ducati early in the second moto.

Lawrence's comeback was truly remarkable. By the nine-minute mark, he had already climbed to fifth place. He then swiftly overtook RJ Hampshire for fourth before setting his sights on the podium. By Lap 7, Lawrence had remarkably positioned himself in the top three. He then passed his brother, Hunter, for third just before the halfway point, around the same time Justin Cooper took the lead from Prado. With five minutes remaining, Jett seized the lead, with Sexton following closely behind.

Eli Tomac's struggles continued as he finished seventh, adding to his points woes this season.
