KFC is launching a bold nationwide comeback plan, hoping to reclaim its place in the fast-food fried chicken market. The chain is offering free buckets of fried chicken to customers and making changes to its menu and marketing strategy.

Free Chicken for KFC Rewards Members

KFC is offering a "Free Bucket on Us" promotion to U.S. customers who purchase $15 worth of food through its website or app. Customers must be members of the KFC Rewards program to be eligible for the deal. This limited-time offer is part of KFC's effort to get customers to try their chicken and provide feedback.

A Serious Colonel Sanders

The "Kentucky Fried Comeback" campaign also features a new, more serious Colonel Sanders. The brand is putting him front-and-center in advertising, with a stern expression on signage and billboards. KFC executives say the Colonel is not happy about the company's market share and is determined to remind America of KFC's legacy as a game-changer in the fried chicken industry.

New Menu Items

In addition to the revamped marketing and free chicken promotion, KFC is also selling fried pickles for a limited time at participating restaurants across the country. This move seeks to refresh the menu and attract new customers alongside the core loyal base.

Addressing Customer Feedback

"We’re well aware of the latest fried chicken rankings, and I’m fired up to launch a bold Kentucky Fried Comeback and remind America exactly who we are," said KFC executive Catherine Tan-Gillespie. "By listening to our customers and addressing feedback, we’ll reclaim our rightful place in the fried chicken game we started."

As competitors like Raising Cane’s and Chick-fil-A gain market share, KFC is getting serious about winning back consumers with a combination of promotional offers, marketing adjustments, and menu enhancements.
