ADEL, GA - A multi-agency operation in South Georgia has resulted in the arrest of a funeral home operator, Stanley Henderson, on multiple felony child sex charges. The Adel Police Department (APD) detailed the extensive list of accusations against Henderson.
Details of the Charges
Henderson's charges include:
- Two counts of felony computer pornography
- Two counts of felony enticing a child for indecent purposes
- One count of felony child molestation
- Two counts of felony aggravated sexual battery
- One count of felony trafficking of persons for labor or sexual servitude
- One misdemeanor count of engaging in a funeral business without required compliance
Adel police have indicated that additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
Investigation Origins
The investigation began in June following a tip received by the Adel police. The tip alleged that Henderson was operating his funeral home without the necessary credentials, including a valid city business license. During the investigation, police executed a search warrant and seized multiple electronic devices from the premises.
Forensic Analysis and Arrest
The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office conducted a forensic analysis of the confiscated devices, which revealed several pornographic images of an underage person. On Sunday, July 13th, using the FLOCK camera database, police officers apprehended Henderson in Lawrenceville without any resistance.
Henderson is currently being held at the Cook County Jail after being denied bond. The case continues to develop, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
