Ajax midfielder Sivert Mannsverk is reportedly on the move! According to reports, the Norwegian international is set to join Sparta Prague on loan. The deal includes an option to buy, suggesting a potential long-term future for Mannsverk in the Czech Republic.

Mannsverk's Time at Ajax

The 23-year-old joined Ajax in the summer of 2023 from Molde, where he had previously won the Norwegian Eliteserien. However, he struggled to replicate that form in Amsterdam, making only 18 appearances for the first team. Reports suggest he was even removed from first-team training sessions earlier this year.

Sparta Prague: A New Opportunity

Sparta Prague, currently leading the Czech First League (Chance Liga), offers Mannsverk a fresh start under manager Brian Priske, who has experience in the Eredivisie. The club is also aiming to reach the league stage of the Conference League, providing Mannsverk with the opportunity to play in European competitions.

While Lecce showed interest, Mannsverk reportedly preferred Sparta Prague. The loan deal is expected to be finalised soon, pending some formalities.
