The New Saints (TNS) are absolutely crushing it in the Cymru Premier! After a dominant 4-0 victory over Barry Town United this past weekend, TNS have surged three points clear at the top of the table. Sheesh, seven wins in a row? They're on fire!
TNS vs. Barry Town: A Rout at Park Hall
Jack Bodenham got the party started with a header in the first half, and then Ken Charles, Adam Wilson, and Ben Clark piled on the goals after the break. Barry Town just couldn't handle the Saints' relentless attack. This victory extends TNS's winning streak to seven games, while Barry's first loss in five games sees them tumble out of the top six.
Other Cymru Premier Action
While TNS was busy dismantling Barry Town, there was plenty of other action around the league:
- Connah's Quay Nomads bounced back with a convincing 3-0 win over Llanelli Town.
- Cardiff Met secured back-to-back wins with a 2-0 victory over Bala Town.
- Haverfordwest County ended their losing streak with a hard-fought 3-1 win against Flint Town United.
- Colwyn Bay edged out Caernarfon Town 1-0 thanks to a Louis Robles goal.
- Briton Ferry Llansawel and Penybont played out a goalless draw in tough conditions.
Caernarfon Town vs. TNS: Match Preview
Looking ahead, TNS are set to face Caernarfon Town. Despite Caernarfon's strong start to the season, they've hit a rough patch recently, losing three of their last four matches. The Canaries will be without three TNS players (Zack Clarke, Josh Lock, and Sion Bradley) due to loan rules. However, former TNS goalkeeper Connor Roberts could feature for Caernarfon. Can TNS continue their winning streak, or will Caernarfon pull off an upset? Stay tuned!
