JMPD Advice & Cyclist Tips

JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla advised residents to plan ahead. “We want to ensure the smooth running of the event, especially in high-traffic residential zones. This is a celebration of cycling, but also a major traffic operation, and residents must plan ahead.”

Inaugural Ride Joburg winner Nic White recommends cyclists stick to light riding over shorter distances in the lead-up to the race. He also stresses the importance of ensuring all gear is in good condition and working perfectly.

Prepare for delays and plan your weekend travel accordingly!
