Scunthorpe United confirmed that Gjoshe sustained a slash wound to his bicep and underwent surgery. Heroic Rail Worker Fights for Life
A member of LNER staff is being hailed as a hero after attempting to stop the attacker. British Transport Police (BTP) reported that the staff member suffered life-threatening injuries while intervening to protect passengers. Deputy Chief Constable Stuart Cundy praised the staff member's bravery, stating, "This was a horrific attack that has had a wide impact... My thoughts are with those injured and their families – especially the brave member of rail staff."
Suspect Charged with Attempted Murder
Anthony Williams, 32, has been charged with 11 counts of attempted murder, one count of actual bodily harm, and one count of possession of a bladed article. He is also charged with another count of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article in connection with a separate incident at Pontoon Dock station on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) in east London. Williams has been remanded in custody.
