The Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) has announced a comprehensive list of affected routes, advising commuters to plan their journeys accordingly.

  • Melrose Arch: Whitely Road, Melrose Boulevard, Atholl/Oaklands Road.
  • Rosebank, Westcliff, Parkview: Oxford Road, Glenhove Road, Jan Smuts Avenue.
  • Fourways: Winnie Mandela Drive.
  • Roodepoort: Hendrik Potgieter Road.
  • Nasrec: Rand Show Road, Boysens Reserve Road, Nasrec Road, Golden Highway.

Fihla highlighted specific closures in the Nasrec area:

  • Golden Highway: Full closure between Rand Show Road and Soweto Highway from November 19th.
  • Nasrec Road: Closed between Rand Show Road and Shaft 17 Road on November 22nd and 23rd, with limited access from the N17 traffic circle towards Shaft 17 Road.
  • Rand Show Road: The northern portion (between the N1 and Nasrec Road) will be closed on November 22nd and 23rd. The southern portion will be converted into a dual carriageway to accommodate residents of Omonde View.
  • Booysens Reserve Road: Closed on November 22nd and 23rd, with limited access for officials, primarily between 7:30 AM and 10:00 AM.
