Kildare Mourns: Beloved Marie Tompkins Passes Away

Kildare Community Deeply Saddened by the Loss of Marie Tompkins

The community of Kildare is in mourning following the passing of Marie Tompkins (née Rooney), formerly of Rowanville, Kildare Town and Abbottswood, Kildangan. Marie will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Marie is survived by her loving sons, Peter and Jamie, who are heartbroken by her passing. She also leaves behind her brothers John, Ted, and Tom, and her sisters Ann, Phil, Breda, Kathleen, and Margaret. The extended family is also grieving this profound loss.

A period of repose will be held at her family home (W34 T029) on Wednesday from 3pm, with Rosary recited at 7pm. This will be an opportunity for friends and neighbours to pay their respects and offer condolences to the family.

Glennons Funeral Directors will be handling the removal on Thursday morning. The funeral procession will arrive at St. Brigid's Parish Church, Kildare Town, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Following the Mass, Marie will be laid to rest in St. Conleth's Cemetery, Kildare Town.

For those unable to attend in person, the Funeral Mass will be broadcast live on mcnmedia.tv, allowing people to participate in the service remotely and offer their support to the family during this difficult time.

The community extends its deepest sympathies to the Tompkins and Rooney families during this time of sorrow. May she rest in peace.
