YouTube Just Pulled a Spotify Wrapped! 2025 Viewing Habits REVEALED!

YouTube is joining the year-end review frenzy! Following in the footsteps of Spotify Wrapped, YouTube has launched its very own 'Recap' feature, giving users a personalized look at their viewing habits throughout 2025. Forget endless scrolling – now you can see exactly what you binge-watched all year!

What is YouTube Recap?

YouTube Recap is a new feature that provides a summary of your top channels, interests, and viewing habits over the past year. Think of it as a personalized highlight reel of your YouTube activity, showcasing your deep dives, specific interests, and key moments. You'll get up to 12 cards revealing your top channels, evolving viewing preferences, and even a fun 'personality type' based on what you've been watching.

How Does it Work?

Recap analyzes your watch history to identify your dominant interests and the channels you frequented most. It then presents this information in an engaging, easy-to-digest format. Expect to see stats on your favourite creators, the types of videos you watched the most, and how your tastes have changed over time. YouTube even assigns you a personality type like 'Adventurer', 'Skill Builder', or 'Creative Spirit', based on your viewing patterns.

Where Can I Find It?

The feature is rolling out globally this week, starting in North America. You can find your Recap on the YouTube homepage or under the “You” tab on both mobile and desktop versions of the app.

What About Music?

If you're a music lover, Recap will also show you your top artists and songs of the year. For a more in-depth music-focused review, YouTube Music users will still have a separate YouTube Music Recap available within that app, detailing top genres, podcasts, and even a snapshot of your international music listening.

So, get ready to dive into your 2025 YouTube viewing data and discover what your watch history says about you! Is it time to admit you spent way too long watching cat videos?
