What is YouTube Recap?
Available now on mobile and desktop, Recap highlights your top channels, interests, and even how your viewing habits have evolved over the year. Think of it as a digital scrapbook of your YouTube experience.
How Does it Work?
You'll find your Recap on the homepage or under the “You” tab. It presents up to 12 cards that spotlight your viewing history, revealing which creators and topics held your attention. YouTube analysed viewing data to identify personality types – are you an Adventurer, a Skill Builder, or a Creative Spirit?
Music Lovers, Rejoice!
If you're a music fan, the Recap includes your Top Artists and Songs of the year. Dive deeper into your favourite genres, podcasts, and even get a snapshot of your international music tastes on the YouTube Music app.
Top Trends of 2025
Alongside the personalised Recap, YouTube also unveiled its top trends for 2025. In the US, MrBeast continues his reign as the most popular creator for the sixth year running. Other notable mentions include IShowSpeed and CoryxKenshin.
Trending topics include Squid Game, K-Pop Demon Hunters, and Labubu, reflecting the content that saw significant growth throughout the year.
