December is here, and that means one thing: recaps! Just like Spotify and YouTube, Discord is jumping on the bandwagon with its very own year-end summary called Discord Checkpoint. It's a lekker way to see what you've been up to on the platform throughout 2025.
What is Discord Checkpoint?
Think of Discord Checkpoint as your personal “Spotify Wrapped” but for Discord. If you've kept data collection enabled, Discord has been tracking things like how many messages you've sent, how much time you've spent in voice chats, and more. It's a real trip down memory lane!
How to View Your Discord Checkpoint
Ready to dive in? Here's how you can access your Discord Checkpoint:
- On Desktop: Look for the flag icon on the top right of your Discord window, next to your Inbox. It might also pop up automatically when you open the app.
- On Mobile: Tap on your profile picture at the bottom right of the screen, and then tap the Checkpoint banner. Keep in mind that there might be some teething problems, so it might take a while to appear.
Important Note: If you have the “Use data to personalize my Discord experience” setting turned off (Settings -> Data & Privacy), you won't be able to see your Checkpoint. Re-enabling the setting won't retroactively generate your recap, so you'll have to wait for 2026's Checkpoint. Sharp, hey?
What if You Don't See a Checkpoint?
Don't stress if you don't see a Checkpoint right away. Discord says it's rolling out gradually and may take a few days to reach everyone. Also, you might not have enough activity on Discord to warrant a summary, or you might have disabled data collection.
Cool Rewards!
After you get your Checkpoint, Discord will match you with one of 10 different checkpoint cards. Each one comes with an avatar decoration that you can wear until January 15, 2026. That's a nice bonus, hey?
So, check your Discord and see what your 2025 looked like! It's a jol to see your stats and compare with your mates.
