What's New in FPL 2025/26?
This season brings a host of updates, including player price adjustments, fresh faces in the league, and innovative ways to score points. But the biggest change? You now get two sets of chips!
Double the Chips, Double the Fun!
That's right! For the 2025/26 season, you'll have TWO uses of each of the four coveted chips:
- Bench Boost: Get all four of your substitutes' points added to your total for one glorious gameweek.
- Free Hit: Make unlimited transfers for a single gameweek, then revert back to your original squad. Perfect for navigating tricky fixtures.
- Triple Captain: Triple your captain's score for a single gameweek. Choose wisely!
- Wildcard: Make unlimited permanent transfers to completely overhaul your team. Use it strategically to climb the ranks.
You'll have one use of each chip in the first half of the season and another in the second, giving you more flexibility and strategic options than ever before.
Defensive Actions Now Rewarded
Defense wins championships, and now it wins you FPL points too! Outfield players will now earn bonus points based on their defensive contributions. For every 10 defensive actions (clearances, blocks, interceptions, tackles, and ball recoveries), a defensive player makes in a single match, they will receive two bonus points. This adds a new layer of strategy when selecting your defenders and midfielders.
