Pirates Rally Late to Snatch Win Against Reds!

The Pittsburgh Pirates pulled off a stunning comeback victory against the Cincinnati Reds on Friday night, winning 3-2 thanks to a clutch two-run triple from Bryan Reynolds in the eighth inning. The game, played in front of 22,092 fans at PNC Park, was a nail-biter from start to finish.

Cincinnati rookie Chase Burns showcased his impressive fastball, hitting over 100 mph multiple times and racking up 10 strikeouts in six innings. Despite Burns' dominant performance, the Pirates managed to chip away, eventually capitalizing on late-inning opportunities.

The Reds initially took the lead in the second inning, scoring a run after loading the bases with no outs. However, the Pirates responded in the fourth when Reynolds and Oneil Cruz hit back-to-back doubles to tie the game at 1-1.

Mitch Keller, the Pirates' starter, pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on six hits. Dauri Moreta came in to relieve Keller and allowed a double to Tyler Stephenson, putting the Reds ahead 2-1.

The turning point came in the eighth inning. Isiah Kiner-Falefa walked, and Tommy Pham singled with two outs, placing runners on the corners. Reynolds then blasted a triple to right field, driving in both runners and giving the Pirates a 3-2 lead. Kyle Nicolas secured the victory with a scoreless eighth, and Dennis Santana closed it out in the ninth for his seventh save.

With this win, the Pirates have now won seven of their last 11 games. The Reds, on the other hand, have lost three straight and seven of their last 11. The series continues Saturday, with the Reds' Nick Martinez scheduled to face a yet-to-be-announced Pirates starter.
