"Of course, the draw leaves a bitter taste. We were doing well, managed to withstand their pressure. But we know the strength that Bahia has at home, and we know that taking a point home is important," Nonato declared on the pitch at Arena Fonte Nova.

The number 20 also highlighted that Fluminense put on a great performance, but lamented the draw suffered in the 43rd minute of the final stage, when victory already seemed on track.

There was a scare in the second half: Nonato fell on the field feeling pain in his knee and worried the fans. However, he tried to reassure the supporters. "I felt discomfort in my knee, but I managed to finish the game well. We will evaluate to see how it is," he explained.

With the draw, Fluminense reached 24 points and occupies ninth place in the Brasileirão. The next match will be on Saturday (16th), at 16h (Brasilia time), at the Maracanã, against Fortaleza.
