Eid-ul-Adha: Livestock Prices Dey Drop for Tamale But Accra Still Cost!
Eid-ul-Adha dey come, and the market dey talk different things for different places for Ghana. For Tamale side, some buyers dey happy sake of livestock prices don drop, but traders dey worry. For Accra ein side, prices still high, making am hard for people to buy animals for the celebration.

For Tamale, the price of ram now dey range from GH¢1,000 to GH¢7,000, depending on how big and healthy the animal be. Last year ebe GH¢1,500 to GH¢8,500. Bull sef dey go for GH¢7,000 to GH¢20,000, wey last year ebe GH¢10,000 to GH¢30,000. Plenty people dey happy sake of dem fit buy ram give demma families dis year.
But traders no dey feel am at all. Dem talk say dem buy the animals for high prices before, hoping to make profit, but now dem dey force sell am for loss sake of the price drop. Accra: Price Still High, Market Slow
For Accra, even though Cedi appreciate against the dollar, ram and cattle prices still dey high for the market. Average-sized ram dey sell for GH¢2,000 to GH¢2,500, and the big ones dey go for GH¢5,000 to GH¢8,000. People no dey buy sake of economy hard. Some livestock dealers dey beg government make dem consider temporary subsidies or waiving transit fees for animals from neighbouring countries.
