Frank Vogel Joins Dallas Mavericks Coaching Staff!
Eiii Ghana! Big news dey come from the NBA! Frank Vogel, the former head coach of the Lakers wey win championship, dey join the Dallas Mavericks coaching staff as lead assistant under Jason Kidd. This be reunion for the two coaches, as dem win NBA title together for Los Angeles Lakers for 2020.
Vogel & Kidd: A Winning Combination
Vogel be the head coach and Kidd be one of ein assistants when the Lakers win demma 17th championship for Florida “bubble”. Now, the roles dey reverse, with Vogel serving as associate head coach after he spend last season as consultant for the Mavericks. Both coaches dey 52 years.
Kidd stay with Vogel one more season for LA before he replace Rick Carlisle as coach of the Mavericks for 2021-22. Dallas reach Western Conference finals that season, then to the NBA Finals two years later.
Vogel's Coaching Journey
Vogel get 12 seasons of experience as head coach with Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic and Indiana Pacers. He win title with the Lakers for the COVID-19 bubble, but e struggle to find stable situation since then. He last only one season with the Suns, wey fire am after dem post 49-33 record for 2023-24.
