Elche FC Scores Big! Two Strikers Join La Liga Squad!
Elche FC Bolsters Attack with Two Key Signings
Elche FC is making waves in the transfer market, securing the services of not one, but two promising strikers to strengthen their attacking options for the upcoming La Liga season. The club has officially announced the arrival of both André Silva and Rafa Mir, signaling their ambition and commitment to a successful campaign.
André Silva Heads to Spain
RB Leipzig has confirmed the departure of Portuguese forward André Silva, who will be joining Elche FC. After spending time on loan with Werder Bremen and Real Sociedad, Silva is looking to reignite his career in the Spanish league. The transfer fee is reported to be around €2.5 million, a significant decrease from the €23 million Leipzig paid for him four years ago. During his time with Leipzig, Silva made 110 appearances and scored 47 goals, contributing to their two DFB Pokal victories in 2022 and 2023.
Marcel Schäfer, RB Leipzig's managing director for sport, praised Silva's professionalism and team-first attitude, wishing him success in La Liga.
Rafa Mir Joins on Loan
In addition to Silva, Elche has also secured the services of Sevilla striker Rafa Mir on a season-long loan. Mir spent the previous season on loan at Valencia. Elche expressed their enthusiasm for Mir's arrival, stating their confidence in his ability to make a significant impact during the season.
These two signings represent a significant investment in Elche's attacking power, and fans will be eager to see how these new additions integrate into the squad and contribute to their La Liga campaign.
