Hong Kong's Coleman Wong saw his US Open journey end in a thrilling third-round clash against Russian powerhouse Andrey Rublev. The five-set battle kept fans on the edge of their seats, showcasing Wong's incredible talent and determination.

"I'm getting closer, and I've proved to myself that I can do it," Wong said, expressing his ambition to break into the top 100. "I need to keep believing. I can see that I have the potential and I can scare the big guys."

Rublev himself acknowledged the difficulty of the match, describing it as a "tough, tough match." He praised Wong's fearless and aggressive play, admitting he had to fight for every point to turn the match around.

Looking ahead, Wong plans to participate in a Davis Cup match against Uzbekistan next month before joining the ATP Tour's Asian swing. His impressive performance at the US Open has undoubtedly boosted his confidence and fueled his determination to climb the rankings.

Rublev revealed he had anticipated a tough challenge after practicing with Wong in Cincinnati. "He destroyed me on the practice court and he beat me," he said. "That gave him the confidence today to play."
