Coca-Cola Bottling Company has officially opened a brand-new sales centre in Auburn, Alabama, marking a significant R18 million investment in the East Alabama region. The state-of-the-art facility, Auburn Coca-Cola Bottling Company, is set to serve customers and communities across Chambers, Coosa, Lee, Macon, Randolph, and Tallapoosa counties.

The new centre, located on West Veterans Boulevard in Auburn, sprawls across approximately 15 acres and boasts a 24,000-square-feet structure comprising a sales centre, warehouse, and modern office spaces. This strategic location will act as a central hub for distributing Coca-Cola products efficiently throughout the region.

According to officials, the establishment of this Auburn facility was already in motion, however, delays were unfortunately caused due to storm damage two years ago, in West Point.

"Today marks an exciting new chapter for our team," said Auburn Coca-Cola Sales Center Manager Allen Buffington at the grand opening. "This facility reflects our longstanding commitment to refresh and serve the communities and consumers of East Alabama with excellence and hometown pride."

Coca-Cola United President and CEO Mike Suco emphasized the importance of relationships in the company's success. "Our business is big on relationships. Our relationships with Auburn University, local businesses and the broader community are essential to who we are and how we work, and we’re excited for the opportunities ahead," Suco stated.

Auburn Coca-Cola joined the Coca-Cola United family in 2023, employing approximately 75 associates. They serve over 1,000 customers and distribute nearly 3 million cases of Coca-Cola products annually. Coca-Cola has maintained a presence in East Alabama since 1902, with previous bottling operations in Alexander City, Opelika, and Tuskegee, contributing significantly to the local economy and community spirit for over a century.

This new facility not only represents a substantial economic investment but also reinforces Coca-Cola's dedication to the people and businesses of East Alabama.
