Wentworth Wonder! Ramsay & Ferguson Shine at BMW PGA Championship!
The BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth is heating up, and South African golf fans are glued to the action! While Hideki Matsuyama leads the pack after a blistering 64, the story of the tournament so far is the resilience and determination of players like Richie Ramsay and Ewen Ferguson.
Ramsay's Resurgence: Patience Pays Off
Richie Ramsay, after enduring a frustrating run of five missed cuts, is back in contention thanks to a solid three-under 69 in the second round. His aggregate score of nine-under has him sharing sixth place, just three shots behind the leader. Ramsay's philosophical approach to the game, recognizing the inherent challenges of being a touring professional, seems to be paying dividends.
“In spells, I've played really well over the last three, four weeks,” Ramsay said. “I've just realised that I need to be happy with my game and not compare it to anybody else's. You can’t get down on yourself and you have to realise that you're playing well. It’s about staying patient and positive.”
His 69, while not his lowest career round, represents a significant achievement given his recent struggles. “I would say it's one of my best rounds ever as I haven't been playing maybe the best I could,” Ramsay added.
Ferguson Also in the Mix
Ramsay isn't the only Scot making waves at Wentworth. Ewen Ferguson is also sharing sixth place, adding to the excitement. The competition is fierce, and the weekend promises plenty of drama as players battle for the prestigious BMW PGA Championship title.

With Matsuyama leading and Ramsay and Ferguson hot on his heels, the weekend at Wentworth is set to be a thrilling spectacle.
