Yoh! Socialite and businesswoman Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize is feeling the heat! The South African Revenue Service (SARS) is auctioning off her luxury assets to recover a whopping R40 million in unpaid taxes. Can you believe it?
The auction includes some seriously swanky items. We're talking a 2022 Mercedes-Benz S680 Maybach Edition 100, worth around R5.6 million! That's just the beginning, bra.
Bidders' Choice is handling the online auction, which kicked off on Friday, 10 October, and wraps up on Wednesday, 15 October. Potential buyers could view the items in person at locations in Bapsfontein, Pretoria, and Mooikloof, Pretoria.
What's Up For Grabs?
- Luxury designer bags – think Louis Vuitton and other top brands.
- A Lamborghini – because why not?
- A fleet of construction vehicles.
This isn't the first time MaMkhize's assets have been under the hammer. Remember that auction in June featuring her BMWs, Mercs, 4x4s, and even the Royal AM team bus? Ja, SARS is serious about getting their money.
Reports indicate that around 41 vehicles linked to MaMkhize are being auctioned. That Lamborghini is listed for nearly R5.8 million on Auto Trader. Someone's about to get a serious upgrade!
But wait, there's more! The auction also includes 23 construction vehicles, like a Kubota tractor, a Komatsu front-end loader, a Mitsubishi Fuso concrete mixer, and a Hamm pneumatic roller. However, some of these vehicles seem to be missing proper documentation, raising some eyebrows. Questions are being asked about how these undocumented vehicles are linked to MaMkhize.
We've reached out to Bidders’ Choice for clarification on the issue of undocumented vehicles. Stay tuned for updates as this story develops. Eish, times are tough!
