Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) coach Vladan Milojević is demanding a return to form from his players after a difficult week. Following poor performances and a Europa League defeat, the team has stumbled in the Serbian Super League. A draw against Radnički Niš (0-0) was followed by a loss to Vojvodina in Novi Sad (3-2), putting Milojević's position under scrutiny.
Despite the pressure, Milojević has received the backing of the club's leadership. However, a victory against Radnik Surdulica in their match today (17:00 local time) at the Rajko Mitić Stadium is essential.
"There will certainly be changes in the line-up. Hard work is the only way out of this crisis," Milojević stated. Red Star will face Lille in the Europa League on Thursday, but Milojević insists the team's focus is solely on the upcoming match against Radnik.
"Currently, this match is the most important for us because we have no room for error and we must think professionally only about the next opponent," the coach emphasized. "I think this will be a psychologically difficult match for us."
The match against Radnik Surdulica ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw. This marks the champion's third misstep in the league, adding to the pressure on the team and the coach. Milojević expressed his dissatisfaction, stating, "We have clearly fallen into a psychological problem. We are simply unrecognizable. We have talked, but it keeps happening. We need to get out of this problem. We will see how."
Key Takeaways:
- Crvena Zvezda needs to address their psychological issues.
