Trump on China: 'We Got Everything We Wanted!' Raids Intensify?!

Trump Talks China Trade & Immigration Raids!

In a recent interview, President Donald Trump discussed a range of topics, including trade relations with China and immigration enforcement. The interview, conducted by Norah O'Donnell, shed light on the administration's stance on these key issues.

China Relations: A 'Great Relationship'?

Trump emphasized his positive relationship with China's President Xi Jinping, stating, "We get along great, and we always really have." He acknowledged a "COVID moment" but highlighted the overall strength of the relationship, citing the power of both countries as a crucial factor. Trump claimed to have secured significant concessions from China, including the elimination of the "rare earth threat" and a substantial influx of revenue through tariffs, almost 50%. He criticised the previous administration for giving exemptions on almost everything.

"We got sort of everything that we wanted," Trump declared, adding that it's better to get along with China if deals can be made that are beneficial. He accused China of having "ripped us off" in the past but asserted that the situation has now reversed.

Immigration Enforcement: 'Haven't Gone Far Enough'?

Turning to immigration, President Trump expressed his commitment to continuing immigration enforcement raids across the country, stating, "I think they haven't gone far enough." He attributed the perceived slow pace of his mass deportation agenda to "liberal judges" appointed by previous administrations.

When questioned about reports of ICE agents using violent tactics, Trump defended the actions, saying, "Yeah, because you have to get the people out." He asserted that many of those targeted are "murderers" and "criminals."

It's important to note that data from earlier this year shows that a relatively small percentage of undocumented immigrants detained by ICE had been convicted of serious crimes like homicide or sexual assault. Trump administration officials welcomed Border Patrol’s aggressive tactics for immigration enforcement, signaling an intention to intensify deportations.

This interview has sparked debate, with critics raising concerns about the use of force in immigration enforcement and the potential for human rights violations. Supporters argue that the administration is simply fulfilling its promise to secure the border and remove dangerous criminals from the country.
