The Zambian national team, Chipolopolo, are reportedly keen on securing the services of Manchester City U21 star Jadel Katongo for their upcoming international friendly against Bafana Bafana. Following the departure of coach Avram Grant, Moses Sichone has taken over the reins, and is preparing the team for a clash at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

According to reports, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has contacted Manchester City to enquire about Katongo's availability. Katongo, a centre-back born in Manchester to a Zambian father, has previously represented England at youth level but has reportedly expressed a desire to play for Zambia.

Meanwhile, in other international friendly news, 16-year-old Brian Madjo has once again rejected a call-up from the Luxembourg senior national team.
